Mike is a musical polymath. After leaving the University of Sussex with a first class honours degree in Music it was not long until he was fronting pop band Stars and Sons, whose other members included Parlophone signed singer-songwriter Luke Sital-Singh and classic pop writer and aficionado Paul Steel.

Mike balances work as a producer and writer with being house engineer at Brighton Electric Studios. He has engineered Florence and the Machine, The Cure, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, British Sea Power and Kins, as well as mastering tracks for The Wytches and producing tracks for Brighton bands Tigercub, Demob Happy and Kill Moon.
